"Wishing you a warm, joyful, and restful Thanksgiving" - Dr. Denise Watts, Superintendent
As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to share my heartfelt gratitude with each of you. This time of year invites us to pause – to recognize the good around us, to appreciate the people who encourage and support us, and to celebrate the strength of our community. In our schools, we are fortunate to see that sense of community every day. We see it in the dedication of our teachers and staff, who give their time, talent, and compassion to create supportive learning environments. We see it in our students, who bring curiosity, joy, and hope for the future. And we see it in our families—parents, grandparents, caregivers, and community members who partner with us in this work. To our families: thank you for the trust you place in us. Thank you for preparing your children each morning, for cheering them on, for asking questions, staying engaged, and believing what they can become. Your involvement and your voice are essential. You are our partners, and we are grateful for each of you. Education is a shared journey. It takes all of us working together, supporting one another, and believing in the potential in every child. I am deeply grateful for the resilience, compassion, and commitment shown across our district. Whether you support students in the classroom, on a school bus, in a cafeteria, in a front office, or at home around the dinner table, you make a difference every single day. As we take time over the Thanksgiving break to rest and reconnect with the people we care about, I hope each of you finds moments of peace, joy, and reflection. May we return renewed, encouraged, and reminded of how meaningful our work is and how much stronger we are when we do that work together. Thank you for being part of our school family. I am truly thankful for you. Wishing you a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
